About the Artist
My
Story
Hi! My name is Eliza, and I’m so happy you found me! I’ve been working in oils for over ten years, with formal training in portraiture and figure painting. However, if you had told me five years ago that my hobby would become a career that supports my growing family, I wouldn’t have believed you!
I started my painting journey in college, taking classes and workshops here or there, but focusing instead on my (non-art) degree. The traditional career path seemed more practical, so I tried to find meaning in my marketing and event planning jobs. And I did, often. After all, an appreciation for beauty can’t make money or change the world, right? But beauty would still call out to me—in an inspiring farmer’s market booth, in a happy interaction with a stranger, in the spontaneity of buskers and artists in European streets. I told myself that someday, one day, I might do that too—but not until I got through the next twenty or so years of “living responsibly.”
That day is here now, much sooner than I thought! But it didn’t come until I became a mother—the biggest responsibility I could ever imagine. Growing up, I thought becoming a mom would mean having to give up all other parts of me, including my art and ambitions. Well, that is one way to do it, but it isn’t the only way. In fact, welcoming little Rylie Eve into our family gave me the courage to quit my job and do something that made me feel alive—because while the world certainly needs more people who feel alive, my little girl needs a mom who does too.
So I created Studio Norwic—named after Norwich, a town in England with one of the oldest art festivals in history. Norwich, the medieval “city of literature” where visionaries got their start long ago and couples still get their start now, where the old charm of hustle and bustle sparks new conversations and connections on its cobblestone streets every day.
That’s the experience I hope to bring you: the spirit of Norwich. Beauty, charm, serendipity, humanity—in every experience with you, in every interaction with guests, and in every brushstroke.

My Art
My training in portraiture and figure drawing ensures accurate proportions and expressive, lifelike faces, while my use of oil paint means your artwork is made to last. I draw inspiration from European Impressionists, capturing light, color, and atmosphere in a way that feels both vibrant and timeless. I also LOVE mixing colors (it might be my favorite part), so if you have a particular color scheme you are going for, just ask!

Booking me is not just receiving a finished painting, it is adding an exciting element to your event. Before booking, we will go over your vision for your event so that I can dress, act, and paint the part—whether that’s whimsical, black tie, or corporate. Then comes the most energizing part—interacting with your guests while I work! I look forward to connecting with them just as I do you.
